Celebrating yesterday’s history, inspiring today’s creatives.
The Heart of Bristol has a dual purpose. Occupying part of the building will be a museum, highlighting the history of Bristol and its immigrants who contributed to its culture. The other part of the building will be artist studio space; this ruminates as fine artist and musical studios. The last part will be a dedicated space to a cultural center; a place for artists and musicians to display their work and give back to the community with a donation center.
The Heart will make the city’s history come alive through multimedia exhibits featuring a blend of objects, photography, video, and, of course, sound.

Bristol is a city in southwestern port city in England, with a rich political and cultural history. Filled with immigrants, Bristol fostered a unique blend of cultures into a vibrant, creative environment.

It was important for the posters to be in multiple languages since Bristol has a high immigrant population, as well as their own vernacular of Bristolian.

Website and Mobile App
Home Profile picture on the top left & setting button towards the top right. A personal welcoming body copy towards the top followed by a search bar. Two, clickable, promotional museum exhibits with a blurb. A “Festival Countdown” encouraging user to book tickets. And a “new to the museum” section.
Music & Audio Guides On the top, a navbar that categorizes museum guides by subject matter. The music guides section includes playlists tailored for visitors to listen to while exploring exhibits. It has a “Recently Played” list with restart icons and a “Most Popular” section with arrows for more information. Additionally, there is a dedicated audio guides section for the visually impaired.
Now Playing Featuring the currently listening guide or song, with a short blurb & image. Shows buttons to play, pause, restart, skip, back, and other information related to the track currently being played.
User Generated Content A trending section is located at the top, displaying other users’ profile pictures. Below that, user- generated content is displayed with a title below the images. A personal call-to-action button is located in the lower right corner, inviting the user to post content. Any images posted by the museum will have its brand mark icon displayed on them.
Booking At the top, there is a navbar. Below it, there is a weekly view with an arrow to extend the calendar. Upon selecting a specific day, a list of events occurring on that day will be displayed. The list will show detailed information about each event, including available times, the number of tickets, location, and a QR code for entrance.
Music From The Heart; Music festival.
Every year The Heart puts on a music festival highlighting the unique music and art that comes out of the city.
The festival features Bristol natives and residents of The Heart.
